The Committee

The Committee of Constructing Excellence Hampshire Club represents a wide cross section of the Construction Industry, ranging from major clients like Hampshire County Council to small specialist subcontractors. Below are the profiles of the current committee:

Chairman - Lloyd Allen - Colas Ltd

Lloyd

Lloyd has spent all his career in the construction industry, and is current working on the major, and only Highways PFI in Portsmouth. He has been the committee chairman for the last three years, but involved in Constructing Excellence from its' launch in Hampshire.

 

 

 


 Treasurer - Graham Alexander - Welbro Project Management Ltd

Graham Alexander

Graham is a Director of Welbro Project Management Limited, a small specialist subcontractor in the industrial building refurbishment sector. He is a founder of the company with over twenty years experience in the roofing and cladding industry. He has been a member of the Constructing Excellence committee since 2005 and has also worked on two committees for "Working Well Together" Health and Safety initiative.


 


Membership Secretary - Kathryn Gore - Blake Lapthorn

Kathryn Gore
 Kathryn is a solicitor with Blake Lapthorn's Southampton office. She specialises in Construction Law and has provided legal advice both to the public and private sectors and to contractors and employers alike. Kathryn is also the Regional Coordinator for the Southern region of the Society of Construction Law and sits on the committee for the Hampshire-based Sustainable Construction Network. In her spare time she is undertaking an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute resolution at Kings College London and enjoys a variety of watersports.

 

Shine Salur - Colas Ltd

Shine

Shine recently joined the committee and represents the junior professional in the industry. She graduated in 2005 from City University with an outstanding academic performance, top three, in her entire grade. She has been awarded a 2005 female Bursary and scholarship for her PhD and is currently with Colas Ltd in Portsmouth working with engineers on the Highways reconconstruction scheme to gain valuable experience. She hopes to become a fully qualified civil engineer working on major civils projects as a manager.

 


Tim Lawton - Hampshire County Council (Highways)

Tim

Tim is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 20 years experience of Highway Engineering and Network Management. He is currently Highways Manager with Hampshire County Council and is responsible for the management and maintenance of the local highway network within the County, specifically the New Forest. He is also responsible for coordinating the County Council's operational response to weather emergencies. Preceding the introduction of new legislation, his latest project is to develop a surface water management plan for Hampshire. Tim is vice-chairman of the ICE (South) Education and Training Group.

 


Andrew Gordon - Hampshire County Council (Health & Safety)

Andrew, a former Principal Construction Inspector with the HSE at Basingstoke, now works for Hampshire County Council covering Health and Safety issues in general but with a special focus on the county's construction projects in particular.
